256Local Affiliate Terms & Program Considerations

1. Program Overview

The 256Local Affiliate Program allows approved affiliates to earn commissions by referring customers, businesses, or partners to eligible products and services within the 256Local ecosystem.

Eligible offerings may include, but are not limited to:

  • Local business listings and upgrades

  • Marketing products and automation services

  • Courses, digital products, and educational programs

  • Local services, offers, and promotions

  • Sponsored placements, media, or special campaigns

256Local operates a multi-tier, city-based ecosystem, and affiliate opportunities may vary by market, category, or availability.

2. Commission Structure

Commissions are variable and may differ based on:

  • Product or service type

  • Pricing tier or package selected

  • One-time vs recurring purchases

  • Promotional campaigns or special offers

  • City, region, or vertical

  • Affiliate level or special agreements

Commission rates, payout structures, and eligibility will be clearly communicated at the time of promotion or made available inside the affiliate dashboard.

256Local reserves the right to:

  • Adjust commission rates for future offers

  • Introduce limited-time promotions

  • Discontinue affiliate eligibility for specific products

Changes do not apply retroactively to already-earned commissions unless required for compliance or fraud prevention.

3. Cookie Duration & Attribution

Cookie windows may vary by product, service, or campaign.

  • Cookie duration details will be provided with each offer or inside the affiliate portal

  • Some offers may use first-click attribution, last-click attribution, or hybrid models

  • Certain products or services may rely on form submissions, CRM attribution, or manual validation

Because 256Local operates across multiple platforms and workflows, not all referrals are instant or purely cookie-based.

4. Qualification & Validation

Commissions are earned only on qualified, valid referrals.

A referral may be disqualified if:

  • The lead is fraudulent, incomplete, or misleading

  • The purchase is refunded, reversed, or canceled

  • The referral violates advertising, compliance, or ethical guidelines

  • The referral originates from prohibited traffic sources

Some offers—especially local services or high-value products—may require manual verification before commissions are approved.

5. Payouts

  • Approved commissions are paid according to the payout schedule listed in the affiliate dashboard

  • Minimum payout thresholds may apply

  • Payment methods and timing may vary

256Local reserves the right to withhold or delay payouts if additional verification is required.

6. Marketing & Promotion Guidelines

Affiliates agree to promote 256Local offers responsibly and accurately.

Affiliates may not:

  • Make false, misleading, or guaranteed claims

  • Impersonate 256Local, local hubs, or partner businesses

  • Use spam, deceptive advertising, or prohibited traffic sources

  • Represent themselves as employees or owners of 256Local

Affiliates are encouraged to:

  • Use approved creatives and messaging when provided

  • Focus on education, transparency, and value-driven promotion

  • Represent local businesses and services with integrity

7. Offer Changes & Availability

Because 256Local operates a dynamic, live marketplace, offers may:

  • Change pricing

  • Change commission rates

  • Pause or end without notice

  • Become unavailable in certain cities or categories

Affiliates are responsible for staying informed via:

  • Affiliate dashboard updates

  • Email or in-platform notifications

  • Direct communication when applicable

8. Relationship Status

Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, partners, or representatives of 256Local.

Participation in the affiliate program does not create:

  • An employment relationship

  • An agency relationship

  • Equity ownership or profit-sharing rights

9. Program Modifications & Termination

256Local may update these terms or modify the affiliate program at any time.

Affiliates may be suspended or removed from the program if they:

  • Violate program guidelines

  • Engage in unethical or harmful behavior

  • Damage trust within the 256Local network

Earned but unpaid commissions may be forfeited in cases of fraud or abuse.

10. Acceptance

By participating in the 256Local Affiliate Program, you acknowledge that:

  • Commission structures vary

  • Offers and terms may change

  • Attribution methods are not uniform across all products

  • Final approval of commissions rests with 256Local
